This year, we sent a representative to PDF Days, organized by the Cologne PDF Association. On the event's second day, Klaus Ganter presented the lecture: ‘Customer communication without paper? No problem!’ His talk introduced writable PDF forms with an output solution.
The M/ Series already meets six important PDF specialty standards. In addition to PDF/A for long-term archiving, it includes PDF/X, PDF for writable forms, PDF/UA, ZUGFerD (central user guide for electronic invoices in Germany), and PDF/VT.
The use of PDF in customer communication is a very important topic for us, as was made clear at our last kühn & weyh meetup.
"PDF has all the charm of a happy patchwork-family. It unites diverse, even conflicting elements under one roof," as Ganter said in an interview with BIT on the occasion of our 14th meetup in Freiburg.
