Reducing our environmental footprint is a key priority for kwsoft®. We are committed to keeping our carbon footprint as small as possible and therefore proudly participate in the Freiburg Climate Pact. This network of companies, institutions, and associations works to reduce emissions and raise awareness of climate protection. Over the years, we have implemented numerous measures and continue to improve our performance in this area.
We are committed to using resources responsibly. That is why we source 100 percent renewable electricity from certified suppliers. In addition, a photovoltaic system on the roof of our headquarters generates electricity that helps power the electric cars and e-bikes in our company fleet. The charging stations are also available to our colleagues for their private vehicles and bikes. Furthermore, we support the installation of home charging stations for employees who use company cars.
Another important contribution to sustainability is the recent energy-efficient renovation of our headquarters. Measures included improved insulation and the elimination of thermal bridges. We also implement numerous initiatives to keep variable energy consumption within the building as low as possible.
For business trips, we naturally choose to travel by train whenever possible.
We regularly donate to regional and national organizations that support people in need. A particular focus is on children and young people facing difficult life circumstances. We see ourselves as part of society, and therefore economic success also means giving back to the community and providing support where it is truly needed.
