Workshop on accessible communication

The topic of accessibility is becoming increasingly important. Our workshop series “Focus on Accessibility” offers interested companies a comprehensive introduction to the topic with regard to customer communication.

In cooperation with our partner adesso, we have developed a 1.5-day format that imparts both basic regulatory knowledge and concrete implementation strategies.

The contents of the workshop

On the first day, adesso introduces participants to the legal framework. They learn about the relevant laws and standards, such as the Barrier-Free Accessibility Act (BFSG), the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and the WCAG standards. Through practical simulations with tools such as screen readers, participants will also develop a deep understanding of the challenges that people with disabilities face in everyday life. This half-day workshop is aimed at anyone in the company who is interested, including those outside the Customer Communication Management team.

The second, full-day workshop is led by kwsoft^® and focuses on practical implementation with the Serie M/. Here, participants learn how to create accessible templates, optimize layout and CI elements, and implement appropriate output formats such as PDF/UA. This part is specifically designed for administrators of the Serie M/ and content creators.
